How to Read the SDAI AKG Label, Line by Line

Reading the SDAI AKG label takes about two minutes once you know what each part of the supplement facts panel means. Here is a walk through it, top to bottom.

  1. Serving size: 2 tablets, 30 servings

Every amount on the panel is for two tablets, not one. Sixty tablets per jar gives thirty servings.

  2. Amount per serving and % Daily Value

The % DV column compares each nutrient with a reference daily amount. Figures above 100%, such as riboflavin at 462%, are common for water-soluble B vitamins in supplements.

  3. The asterisk line

Calcium alpha-ketoglutarate monohydrate (1,000 mg) shows an asterisk because no Daily Value exists for it.

  4. Vitamin forms in brackets

The words in brackets name the exact form: pyridoxal-5-phosphate for B6, L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium for folate, methylcobalamin for B12, palmitate for vitamin A and cholecalciferol for vitamin D3.

  5. Other ingredients

Hypromellose, rice bran, carnauba wax, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, magnesium stearate and triacetin. These build the tablet rather than add nutrients.

  6. Directions and cautions

Two tablets once daily in the morning; do not exceed. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, on medication or with a medical condition should ask a doctor first.
